Day 1 Paris, City of Light
Paris dream! Paris romantic! Paris elegant! Paris so French!
Start the Sightseeing tour in the historic heart of Paris, including the stunning Gothic jewel, Notre-Dame cathedral built in 1163 in the presence of Pope Alexander III, the elegant Place des Vosges (named "place royale or Royal Square" during its construction at the beginning of the 17th century).
Lunch in a 1 star (Michelin guide) gastronomic restaurant. Among the great « Chefs », you might see Alain Ducasse (the Tsar of the French gastronomy), Guy Savoy (one of the best ambassadors of the French gastronomy), Guy Martin (the unavoidable Chef of the French gastronomy), Hélène Darroze (the world’s best female Chef in 2015) or Joel Robuchon (the Pope of cooks, also known as an emblematic Chef of French cuisine).
Then take a romantic tour around the city’s classic landmarks by horse-drawn carriage: Eiffel tower / Invalides / Bridge Alexandre III / Grand Palais / The Champs Elysées / Eiffel tower, exploring the city in a distinctive way.
Day 2 Paris - Reims – Troyes/Courban
Set off for Reims, the capital not only known for the sacrament of several Kings of France but also known as the capital of Champagne. Guided visit of one famous House of Champagne: “Ruinart cellars” or “Taittinger cellars” or “Pommery cellars” or “Mumm cellars” or “Veuve Clicquot cellars”, to discover the brewing technology, the origins, and the business culture of those brands, which are not only proud of their brewed wine, but also of their contribution to the preservation of historic sites. For instance, Champagne Pommery is certainly one of the most beautiful champagne wine estates to visit with ancient Roman caves, modernistic tasting rooms and a never-ending magnificent staircase down into the chalk caves.
Visit the famous Cathedral of Reims, known for the historic coronations of the kings of France.
Day 3 Troyes/Courban - Bayel - Dijon - Beaune
Visit the “Cristallerie Royale de Champagne” in Bayel town. The King Louis XIV gave to the crystals Royal Manufactory in Bayel its letters of nobility through the exclusive production and sales between Chaumont and Paris cities.
After the visit, leave for Dijon, a city well known for its famous Dijon mustard and for being the ancient capital of the Dukes of Burgundy. Start the “French Art de vivre” workshop with two of our professional consultants. This discovery program includes the table etiquette, the art of wine tasting, and so on; then drive through the road of great vintages, proudly called the Champs-Elysees of Bourgogne, meanwhile you will be taught the grape varieties unique to the Burgundy (Bourgogne) region, the viticulture and vinification (winemaking) practices, and the uniqueness of individual French wine region.
As an optional extra: the French romanticism & the art of “hand kiss” workshop. You will find out the origins of French romanticism and the proper way of making a hand kiss while being introduced to a woman.
Day 4 Beaune - Lyon - Vonnas
Go sightseeing in the wine museum of Château du Clos Vougeot, an exceptional historical monument built by monks in the 12th century OR visit Château de Pommard (one of the most famous wine-growing estate in Burgundy).
Lunch at Georges Blanc or Paul Bocuse’s restaurant in Lyon, the French capital of gastronomy. Georges Blanc and Paul Bocuse are considered to be two of the most fabulous & renowned Chefs in France.
After lunch, enjoy the visit of medieval and rebirth Lyon City (Pedestrian visit), and experience the transition from new to old OR discover the French-Chinese institute also visited by the Chinese President on march 25, 2014.
Day 5 Macon/Vonnas - Versailles
Set off for Versailles, the Royal City of “French Savoir Vivre and Etiquette”. Start the guided tour of the Palace of Versailles with its famous Hall of Mirrors, private apartments of the king Louis XIV, OR visit Musée Lambinet, where collections of the town's history are displayed.
Then get on the ”French Art de Vivre” workshop with a Lady Aristocrat expert; you will discover proper table “etiquette” along with the art of conversation. French people share some codes and conventions which settle each one’s behaviors in society. These codes form what we call politeness, courtesy, good manners or “etiquette”, in short the “Savoir Vivre”.
Optional extra: Getting dressed in “period costumes Louis XIV” while having the ”French Art de Vivre” workshop or during the entire day.
Day 6 Versailles - Paris
Visit the museum of wine (vaulted cellar) which was built in the 15th Century in Paris. Lunch in the only Chinese one star Michelin guide restaurant.
